The Great Chair Debate

Living in the UK these past few months has opened my eyes to a totally different way of doing weddings.  Most of these eye openers have been wonderful--think old, stone churches; darling, little pubs; and big, red double-decker buses!  So cute, right?!  The only thing holding the UK back from total adorable domination {at least in my humble, wedding opinion} is their insistence upon using the dreaded chair cover.  I'm of the mindset that seating can be used as a decor piece in its own right and really lends itself to completing whatever look you're going for.  Take a peek at these four, gorgeous tables and you'll see what I mean!

Don't those fun, Ghost chairs just add a totally modern touch to the pretty, pink room?  Why would anyone ever want to cover them up!?!  Okay, that's my two cents said--now let's hear your take on this whole great, chair debate!  Anyone out there LOVE chair covers and think I'm completely silly for thinking otherwise?  Would love to hear what you like best, what you're having at your wedding, or what you've already had and loved!

Wishing you a very happy Thursday, my dears!

  1. I don't like chair covers either...I kind of think they indicate not doing research into other/more fun options, or not caring about having a "cookie cutter" wedding. That's just been my experience with weddings I've gone to though--the weddings with chair covers were the "anti-brides" who didn't even like planning their weddings, so maybe I just attached that stigma to it in my mind, haha!

  12. Hate chair covers, ideally I would love to have mismatched chairs at my hypothetical wedding, and future dinning room.

I agree with Lisa, let's see your wedding!! Also please show pub weddings, I'm so interested!
